BASF does not recommend individual companies; however BASF has implemented an extensive accreditation program, which involves selected Pest Management Professionals undergoing a four-hour course including a written examination that they must pass to become an Accredited Termidor Applicator. They must also sign legal documents stating that they:
- Will use Termidor according to the label directions and the relevant Australian Standard for termite treatments.
- Have all the necessary qualifications and are licensed as a Pest Management Professional
- Will conduct a full risk assessment before conducting a Termidor treatment (keeping a written copy on file).
This Termidor accreditation scheme is the first of its kind and has positioned BASF as one of the most professional and responsible manufacturers in Australia. A list of Accredited Termidor Applicators is available on this website.
Termidor is the premium termite control product on the Australian market for a number of reasons, but in simple terms, Termidor works… and works quickly. The product has been proven across Australia and throughout the world. Only Termidor has the unique Transfer Effect, which means the product not only provides a barrier to termite entry, but may also be transferred to other termites and wipe out the entire colony.
Termidor has been extensively tested under Australian conditions, including the treatment of 22 termite-infested houses across five states under an experimental use permit. The results were outstanding, with 100% control achieved (on average) within 3 to 4 weeks.
Termidor is non-repellent, this means, they cannot detect the product and will not avoid the treated area. As a result, termites continue to forage through the soil, until they encounter the Termidor treated zone and pick up a lethal dose. With repellent termiticides, gaps in the treatment may be found and exploited by termites, and this means failure.
